Les crèches innovantes

France / Paris

Creating original nurseries that welcome children and help parents find jobs

For several years, the Institute of Education and Citizen Practices has been running innovative nurseries: parents are accompanied in their job search. After the child's period of adaptation to the nursery, the parents sign a contract (which has mostly symbolic value) where they commit to finding a job or training. A commitment of three months renewable once. They are accompanied in their efforts, but also on more legal aspects. The first kindergarten opened in 2003 in Bagneux. Since then, the IEPC has opened 11 others throughout the Ile-de-France, in Paris, Aubervilliers, Antony, Sartrouville, Argenteuil, Bezons, Châtenay-Malabry, or Poissy.
