Enabling young adults with mental disabilities to find a place in Serbian society
In Serbia, the mentally handicapped are discriminated against and often ostracized by society. In Belgrade, Anica Spasov and other parents of adults with disabilities have created Nasa Kuca, an association that supports adults with disabilities by enabling them to work. Nasa Kuca is recycling cardboard, but also manufacturing and delivering home meals for the elderly. The beneficiaries supported by Nasa Kucha also participate in cultural and creative activities such as screen printing, and some of them have even set up a music group!
