To change the society's vision about the favelas and their inhabitants, Mayra Jucá's teams set up a community information website fed directly by correspondents from the various favelas of Rio de Janeiro but also from the rest of the country. To increase its community of contributors, Viva Favela also offers training workshops in neighborhoods to educate their inhabitants, especially the youngest, to the writing but also to the use of new technologies (computer software, photo / video equipment, use of web 2.0 ...).
