Proposing a new cooking tool to cook food faster using less wood and charcoal to reduce the pressure on forests and empower women
In Ivory Coast, about 90% of the population uses firewood and charcoal from the forest. These domestic energies, are the second driver of deforestation after agriculture. In addition, there are 22,000 cases of deaths, each year, inside the huts because of indoor pollution due to cooking fumes. Green Ker uses clean and sustainable solutions to fight against poverty, deforestation and respiratory diseases in Ivory Coast, while working for the empowerment of women.
