Organizing public dinners between neighbors to finance positive local initiatives
Detroit SOUP is a collective whose objective is to strengthen the local communities, helping them to develop projects that can improve everyday life (common spaces, education, employment, culture). To do this, Detroit Soup organizes a soup for a micro-gift: for a donation of $ 5, those who attend the soup get food and the right to vote for the best projects of the night. After 5 years and over 95 dinners, Detroit SOUP has now generated about $ 85,000 for local initiatives.
